About Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers

Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers (SWEEP), formed in 2003 and incorporated in Nevada in December 2004, manufactures and distributes the Independence Home System, providing families security through independent, on site electric power and water production. The system is fueled by any liquid, gaseous or solid fuel. This solid-state, semiconductor, generator and diurnal water maker provides independent electric power, potable water, air conditioning and heating through one external centralized unit. The system utilizes the most innovative technology currently being developed to deliver clean, reliable, efficient and cost-effective, decentralized onsite power generation and potable water.

About SWEEP Founding Principal

SWEEP founding principal, Ronald Powers, is accustomed to the reaction of disbelief when presenting new ideas and concepts to clients. Mr. Powers has led the world in innovative technology and design, introducing ideas, concepts and products that meet current needs, while always incorporating features to accommodate future changes and impacts.

Before forming SWEEP, in May 2003, Mr. Powers was Chairman of the Board and President of Powers Design International (PDI), an Industrial Design firm, based in Newport Beach, California. Mr. Powers founded PDI in 1974, and during over 35 years of strong leadership, developed PDI into one of the largest independent design and development firms nationally and internationally. Mr. Powers led PDI in the successful delivery of multimillion dollar projects for some of the largest companies in the world, such as: NASA, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, McDonnell Douglas, Rockwell International and Boeing Aerospace.

SWEEP has drawn together a strong and uniquely balanced management team, most of whom have been working with Mr. Powers from the beginning. We have commitments from the key management team individuals, with the desired skill set and high levels of experience, needed to move the company in the desired direction. Our management team is, and will continue to be, a combination of strategic thinkers and highly experienced experts, working together to accomplish our goals.


About the SWEEP Management Team

SWEEP has drawn together a strong and uniquely balanced management team, most of whom have been working with the SWEEP founders since its inception. We have commitments from the key management team individuals, with the desired skill set and high levels of experience, needed to move the company in the desired direction. Our management team is, and will continue to be, a combination of strategic thinkers and highly experienced experts, working together to accomplish our goals. 


Key management personnel are as follows:

Ronald H. Powers

Mr. Powers is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers (SWEEP). Before forming SWEEP, in May 2003, he was Chairman of the Board and President of Powers Design International (PDI), an  Industrial Design firm, based in Newport Beach, California. Mr. Powers founded PDI in 1974, and during over 37 years of strong leadership, developed PDI into one of the largest independent design and development firms nationally and internationally. Mr. Powers led PDI in the successful delivery of multimillion dollar projects for some of the largest companies in the world, such as: NASA, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, McDonnell Douglas, Rockwell International and Boeing Aerospace.

PDI is recognized for the ability to deliver projects within budget and in timeframes that were considered impossible by competitors. For example, the U.S. Space Station Freedom full-size prototypes were delivered to McDonnell Douglas in three and one half months with a $750,000 budget, a commitment no other company in the nation was able to make or deliver.

Mr. Powers is a dynamic, creative, visionary leader, who possesses a "can-do" attitude. He is a highly accomplished public speaker, negotiator and decision maker, who has a varied professional background. He identified a strategic direction, generated financial support, successfully marketed his concepts, and executed and accomplished identified goals for PDI. Mr. Powers is a persuasive communicator who clearly and convincingly promotes an idea and influences others to support and endorse the plan of action. He has built and maintained strong relations both here in the United States and internationally. Mr. Powers is capable of developing a management team and structure as well as motivating and inspiring staff by building an entrepreneurial spirit that is idea focused, innovative, enthusiastic in the pursuit of excellence.

Mr. Powers’ educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Transportation and Product Design from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California, with undergraduate work in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering and Architecture at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Mike Mallard
Mr. Mallard will join Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers as President of General Operations. Mr. Mallard has built a career as General Manager and Chief Operations Officer for several large manufacturing corporations. He has enjoyed several successful years working with Mr. Powers and is very interested in being part of the launch of this new technology. Mr. Mallard is currently employed with Law Offices in Capistrano, California where he is managing cases for 2,300 clients in six offices. He worked for Powers Design International as Vice President, Operations from 1984 –1990, managing delivery of projects for some of the largest corporations in the United States. From 1980 – 1984 Mr. Mallard was General Manager for Continental Motor Corporation in Santa Ana, California, where he initiated and maintained a total quality control system for the manufacture of midsize public transit vehicles.  Mr. Mallard worked for Revcon Inc. from 1976 to 1980 as General Manager, where he was responsible for sales, manufacturing and purchasing functions. At Revcon, with his initiation of a Just In Time (JIT) system, sales increased from less than $1M annually to over $20M annually and profits reached in excess of $3M annually - a turnaround from an annual loss for four straight years.  From 1970 –1976 Mr. Mallard was Vice President of Manufacturing for Castle Manufacturing Inc., a mobile home manufacturer, where he initiated several employee incentive programs. From 1965-1970 Mr. Mallard held several management positions: Materials Manager, Plant Manager and Purchasing Agent in the manufacturing  industry. He has received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1964 and an MBA in 1966.

Edward J. Johnson
Mr. Johnson joined Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Beginning in 1966, Mr. Johnson held various management positions in Administration, Service and Sales at Xerox. His last assignment was Manager of Major Accounts for Southern California. Mr. Johnson joined Microsoft as Region General Manager for the central twenty states in 1986. His organization grew from producing $100 million in revenue in 1986 to over $1 billion in 1994. He managed over 400 employees in Sales, Technical, and Administration and offices in Detroit, Minneapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, and Dallas.  He was a key member of the planning process for developing the sales and marketing strategies and programs that brought Microsoft to the position that it enjoys today. Mr. Johnson left Microsoft in 1994 and has traveled extensively in the United States and abroad. Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University at Fullerton and has completed numerous seminars and postgraduate work. He was an advisor to the College of Business at Fullerton.

Henry Burden

Henry Burden will join Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers as Chief Financial Officer. From 1999 to 2003, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sane Solutions, Inc., a leading technology services company. Mr. Burden was the Chief Financial Officer at Braniff, Inc., from 1991 to 1999. He was Chief Financial Officer at Burden Brothers, Inc. for 15 years before joining Braniff. Prior to 1991, Mr. Burden held senior financial management positions in international construction firms and began his career in public accounting with Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Burden is a Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Business Administration in accounting and management at the University of Texas at Arlington in 1974.

 

Teri Christian
Ms. Christian joined Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Business Administration in May 2004. From June 1997 to September 2003, she was Managing Director of Powers IT Solutions in Canberra, Australia. Powers IT Solutions provided Management Consulting, Training and Business Solutions to both private and public sector clients. Ms. Christian recruited consultants from the United States, England and Australia for contracts in Australia. She managed the entire recruitment process, business administration and contract negotiations with clients and consultants. She sold her company in 2003 and returned to the United States. Before forming Powers IT, Ms. Christian was a Management Consultant to both private and public sector clients: EDS Australia, UNISYS, IBM, CSC, Kaiser Permanente, Australian Taxation Office, Australian Customs, Immigration, Work Force Relations and Child Support Departments. She also consulted to Tier Technologies to develop business systems, corporate methodologies and operations documentation as part of the company becoming public. Ms. Christian has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems, from the Texas A&M System, with minors in Business Administration, English, Accounting and Technical Writing. She has several published papers, business administration manuals and course curriculums.

Neil Sudhakar
Neil Sudhakar will join Southwest Water & Electric Energy Powers as Director Asia Pacific. 
Mr Sudhakar is the Chairman of the Executive Board of Consultants of International Business America (IBA) that he founded in 1989 in Los Angeles California. The 12 member board of consultants have many years experience working with fortune 500 companies and have expert knowledge in doing business in the every region of the world.

Mr Sudhakar has assisted Powers Design International, as well as several other large, reputed, international firms, to expand and successfully conduct business in India. He has over 30 years of hands on experience in leading major companies in India and the Asia Pacific region. He has been the country advisor for multibillion dollar US companies, including Kenmar Corporation, MI USA, for India and the Asia Pacific region. Other companies Mr. Sudhakar has worked with in this capacity include: Pierburg AG, Germany; Festo KG, Germany; Bundesdruckerei International, Germany; Audiosoft Ltd, UK; Hunter Douglas Corporation, Netherlands.

Between 1982 and 1987 he was the Chairman and Managing Director of the International Instruments Ltd, Bangalore India. He was also a JV with a multibillion VDO Adolf Schindling AG of Germany that ranks among the worlds largest automotive gauges maker of original equipment on reputed cars like Daimler Benz, BMW  and many others in Europe. During that period he was responsible for and played a key role in developing several joint venture relationships in India with multinational manufacturing firms in Japan, Germany, United States and England. He has excellent relationships, built over 30 years, at the decision making levels of the multibillion dollar organizations both in the private and the public sector in India and the Asia Pacific region.

He is currently on the board of directors of many companies located in India, Europe and North America. Mr. Sudhakar has a Mechanical engineering degree with post graduate work in International Marketing from the University in London, UK.

Positions to be filled
Key individuals have been identified for the positions of Vice President of Design and Product Development and Vice President of Engineering. We have also identified key individuals for the Board of Directors. These positions will be filled when funding is secured and the timing is appropriate.
